Dr. Shan Zhao has received the UA Research Stimulation Program (RSP) award to support a postdoctoral fellow for two years. The title of his proposal is “Locally-one-dimensional (LOD) finite difference simulations for complex material interfaces: algorithm and applications.”

This summer, Zhao will co-organize a mini-symposium, “Molecular Biosciences: Macromolecular Structures and Interactions,” in the SIAM Conference on Life Science . The conference will be held in Charlotte, NC, in August.
